heart arrhythmia

Since I was a teenager I have had this problem; there was this one instance when it bent over to pick something up and all of a sudden I felt my heart rate (suddenly jump) to upwards of 180-200 beats per min.  I was about 10 years ago then suddenly about a or 2 year ago it happened again while I was at work.  This time when it happened my vision went black, I was drenched in sweat, felt dizziness and felt as though I was going to pass out.  Since that point I began to have excessive pvc's all the time accompanied with high blood pressure of 180/98.  I have had holster (king of hearts) which picked up all the pvc's, numerous ekg's which picked up the pvc's, the echo cardiogram picked up the same thing, and the stress echo.  I was on topropl xl 25 mg and now taking metropol xl 50 mg. I am trying to find out what is the cause of these episodes of supra venticular tachcardia?  I am only 27 the dr's just prescribe beta-blockers and all I want is anwsers what is causing this and is there any other tests that need to be done to detect the problem so I can get off the meds.  I only weigh 150 lb 5/9 no caffine, no drugs, and no alchohol!

Kim,
My background is in nursing, and I have an interest in tick borne infections.
"Heart flutters" and hand tremor might be caused by low magnesium...try supplementing mag as per my recommendations, and see if it helps.

One possible cause for cardiac irregularities is low magnesium within the cells.
Magnesium is needed for all the enzyme processes in the cells, and when it is depleted, causes havoc.
The usual serum blood test for magnesium may be normal, as this tests the level in the blood, not the cells.

You can take supplemental magnesium as magnesium taurinate or glycinate.
Magnesium oxide is cheap and commonly used in multivitamins, but is not well absorbed in the intestines.
Look at the list of ingredients to see what kind of mag is in the supplement.
Example:  http://www.iherb.com/ProductDetails.aspx?c=1&pid=1415
Contains  Magnesium (as magnesium citrate, taurinate, glycinate, and succinate)

I hope this will help.
