high pulse rate/low blood pressure

What is the relationship between pulse rate and blood pressure? My blood pressure is low (118/67) but my pulse rate is high (between 110 and 120). I am currently 7 months pregnant but this may pre-exist my pregnancy. Thanks.

Generally, blood pressure can rise or fall with a rise in pulse.  It would depend what the rhythm of the heart is in.

With a high resting heart rate, I would consider an EKG to ensure this is in a normal rhythm.

If not, a echocardiogram and/or Holter monitor can be considered to further evaluate the structure of the heart as well as for any abnormal rhythms that can be leading to the fast heart rate.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.

I have the same thing...low blood pressure fast hard heartbeat....
is there not a med out there that can help this along with circulation
problems without droping the bp to low.  Life is miserable when you heart
races.  My ex had hit me in the chest flat handed for about a year when this began but I also go sever food poisining and did not go to the doc's.
not sure what is causing this but my blood vessels are bulging out on my hands and ribbon like in my upper arm...almost like I am dehydrated but I'm not.  Can part of your body loose hydration while your legs swell...Now I have rashes all the time from everything and my throat get burny and scratcy after I eat which is also when my heart pounds...btw...I do have a large hiatal hernia and am 44 and about 114 pounds...feels like it cuts off the blood to my heart with the slightest amount of food or gas....anything out there for gas like the chrystals they give you to burb hard when you take a certain test they gave me but after I burbed I had no heart racing for three months solid then it came back so what do I do....?? Go back to get this test again to be given the crystals so that I can burp? why is that not over the counter when it actually works to eleveate gas and spread the stomach area so that my hernia does not cause me these heart issues?
thanks

Could be compensatory. Have your physician take orthohostatic vital signs. He'll know what they are. If he doesnt, find another physician.
