higher heart rate after meals

hi i have a question.

i have noticed that 30 hr after a meal especially if i eat carbs i get a high heart rate. not excessively high
but i get about 110-110 resting wheareas my usual heart rate (when i wake up 60) but when i am active
57-75. i do have acid reflux disease/erosive gastritis diagnosis since 7 ms ago. The episode lasts about until i fully digest my meal however small . i don't have any other symptoms ie dizziness or anything else except i can tell my heart rate is high no skipped beats however.

my heart rate at other times is quite normal. i walk abt 1 + 1/2 hr a day instead of taking the bus to work. i climb stairs and walk about everywhere. when my stomach is empty during my walks my heart rate ranges about 118-127 .

any ideas would be appreciated. is the reflux disease connected ?

tks very much

hi tks for yr reply.

i have recently gone for blood tests . will have the results in 10 days.

i don't think it's anxiety though because i dont get it in stressful situations.

in the meantime tell me if it is dangerous or i can relax a bit.

my previous tests 9 months ago were very normal and don't have any raised numbers.

is it dangerous?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
It is either connected to reflux, or to pancreatic insulinoma which cause a rapid rise and then rapid fall of blood glucose resulting in rapid heart rate. Apart from this it can even be due to anemia, low blood pressure, hypoglycemia, anxiety, hyperthyroidism etc.
Please consult your PCP for primary examination (blood sugar, thyroid levels, hemoglobin, BP monitoring etc) followed by proper referral.
Take care!
