Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
A humming sound in the neck could be due to turbulence in the blood flow either due to kinking of carotid arteries or due to a clot or high blood pressure. A duplex ultrasound or a color dopplar is required for confirmed diagnosis.
Hope this helps. Take care!
