incomplete bowel evacuation

looking for any help at all with incomplete bowel evacuation due to several years of almost constant IBS.  Tried everything; fiber, probiotics, kegels, nothing seems to help.  I haven't had a normal day in over a year and half.

doctornee medical is correct about making sure you are getting enough water to balance out the fiber. If you do not get enough fluid to counterbalance then additional fiber can make things a lot worse then low fiber intake. You may consider adding a glass or a few of 100% juice (no sugar added..incluidng fake stuff), some good ones would be Acai, Cranberry, Black Cherry, Blueberry, or Pomegranite. Green tea can also be beneficial.

You make look into seeing a colon hydrotherapist as well. Often in addition to being able to clean you out they can make some good recomendations about diets that are good for various bowel problems and natural ways (through nutrition) of helping.

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
There is a possibility that your calcium and magnesium levels in the body are low. These can slow down the peristaltic movement of the gut which propels the food down. The other possibility is a local cause like hemorrhoids or rectal polyp.
You have been taking fiber etc. However, just taking that will not help. It should be in right quantity and you should be drinking enough water. It would be a good idea to consult a nutrition specialist regarding this.
There are some exercises in yoga which help clear a bowel movement. You could try those and learn them from an expert.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
