kidney problems and mri results

my mother was diagnosed with pemphigus f about 3 years ago, during the last 2 months she has had a chronic bladder infection, pneumonia, headaches, and a reaction to her antibiotics, she was hopitalized. She stills runs a high fever, and they ordered a mri on her brain. The results were a bright signal or enhancement, but the doctor had to cancel the appointment because of his sickness. What could this mean?
