knee, claf pain and tingling.....

Hello I am new to the undiagnosed community but have been a memeber of medhelp for a few years. I have been having some tingling in my legs (both legs) since winter began. It only happens when I am sitting on the toilet or stilling on the floor in a strattle position... I made an appointment with a Chiropracter for Monday, thinking it may be my siatic nerve...

The last few days I have noticed that my calf muscles hurt. only when I am resting. Im not sure if it is from wearing Ugg boots with out any arch support or if it is something worse. I havent done any physical activity that would make it hurt like this! It dost hurt bad it is just mild but has a wierd sensation at the same time! Sometimes I can feel it in my upper leg and buttocks. Its more like muscle spasams though!

I also have began having a ringing in my ears. It just happend last night and went away this morning! When I move my head I can hear something in there like a crumbling noise which may be fluid in there but I also think I may have a sinus infection.....

Does anyone have any ideas on what may be wrong with me?

Thank you! I have been checked for any blood clots. They found nothing wrong! I went to a Chiropracter and they took some xrays of my back and I go back tomorrow to see what I find out!

I do drink a lot of soda and very minimal water!!! I also began taking a prenatel vitiman (although I am not pregnant I like them) hopefully that will help.. I also went to my prmary doctor about the dizzyness and ear ringing and she said that is vertigo!! I dont know maybe this is all just stress!!!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
The commonest cause is DVT and clots and post exercise. Pain in the calf area can also be due to pinched spinal nerves in the lumbo-sacral area or a pinched nerve at the knee joint. A nerve conduction study should be done. A MRI of the lumbar spine should also be able to throw some light. A deep vein thrombophlebitis or intermittent claudication (spontaneous spasm and relaxation of arteries) can also cause similar symptoms.
At times it is also due to low sodium, potassium, magnesium or calcium in the body. Hence serum levels of these electrolytes should also be checked. Dehydration is another frequent cause.
It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
