left shoulder/neck pain

by retail shirley, Aug 03, 2007 06:23PM
In June 2005 I moved a 5 gallon pail of paint from a 3 foot high shelf, I felt a pop on the left side of my neck and pain into the left shoulder. I tried to work it out but the pain just became worse.  Two days later I could not lift my arms past my shoulders.  I was told that I had imflamed both sides of my neck.  The pain feels like someone is twisting a scew into my neck, there is pressure pain in my shoulder, my shoulder blade burns, and my left arm and hand will go tingly.  Every time I do any over shoulder work I end up in pain and can not lift my arm abouve shoulder hight.  I have been to walk in clincs and to a family doctor, they keep telling me it is a pulled muscle, but I have done chiroparactor and physiotherapy, did the exercises, but still in pain 2 years later. What else could this be?
