thank you for the reply, she has not had any bowel problems no constipation and feels they are perfectly fine, she has no other health issues or concerns at all.
micphanf thanks for the reply, she doesnt have any problems with her peiods or any with sexual intercourse, no such cramps or pains, she only has that one issue, only upon laying on her left sie she gets pains in her stomach as if inside her left stomach the intestine feels as if its hanging or tender but as soon as she lays any other position its fine, shes had this for soo many years now, she has no other health problems.
not sure what it can be, drs have done blood works all are fine, scanning, xrays, ct or endoscopies have not been performed and drs dont really help much but tell her not to lay on her left..
Great list jcrow28. I wanted to mention that if you sister has heavy periods or a lot of pain with periods, sometimes endometriosis can masquerade as a stomach problem.
The co-symptoms would be stuff like :
Painful periods
Pain in the lower abdomen before and during menstruation
Cramps for a week or two before menstruation and during menstruation; cramps may be steady and range from dull to severe)
Pain during or following sexual intercourse
Pain with bowel movements
Pelvic or low back pain
Has she had an endoscopic exam to actually look at the stomach?
What about an abdominal CT scan?
Is she regularly constipated, She would be considered constipated if she experiences two or more of the following symptoms for at least 3 months -
1.Straining during a bowel movement more than 25% of the time,
2.Hard stools more than 25% of the time,
3.Incomplete evacuation more than 25% of the time,
4.Two or fewer bowel movements in a week.
Have they listened to her bowel sounds to check for paralytic ileus?
