by leggs520, Jul 03, 2009 09:04PM
I have been on lithium carbonate for 1 month. I have noticed that anything with dairy or butter in it tastes horrible. I cant even smell it. And i love love love milk so its been rough.

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
Altered taste perception is a side effect of lithium therapy. Talk to your doctor regarding altering the dose or putting you on another medication. I am sure you will be able to go back to enjoying milk and milk products.
Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
