lost for thought

I have been experiencing dark green stool for 10 days now.  After 7 days, I got sick (diarrhea and couldn't hold anything down).  I was told to drink plenty of fluids and drink Gatorade for the electrolytes.  After doing so, when I went to use the bathroom, my stool was brown.  For the rest of that day, I was slowly eating to regain strength.  I felt much better but was not drinking as much.  The next morning, when I went again, it was back dark green again and every since.  Is there something I eat or take to 'get back to normal'?  Consuming a lot of electrolyte drinks along with a lot of water (I drank at least 2 gallons) isn't normal for me.  What can I do...im lost for thought?  Would this have anything to do with my headache and heartburn I am having?

If you are drinking blue or purple Gatorade it is probably the dye from that. Both my children and I have that happen if we have blue or purple Gatorade or soda. I know some people that when they drink red colored drinks or eat anything bright red will have bright red stools. Your body is just not processing the dye you shouldn't worry.

From what I've read online, it could be related to the food you eat, or medications you take or various digestive problems. Have you been eating different food than normal (lots of spinach or something with green food coloring) or taking a new medication? If not, then you should probably be seen by a doctor.
