Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
It is difficult to comment without examination.  Lump behind the ear that has been persisting for two years could be a lipoma (localized collection of fat), a cyst, an inflamed lymph node or a neurofibroma (localized harmless swelling in of nerve and connective tissue). You may not have been sick but local infections like dandruff or a dermatitis too can cause a lymph node to swell.
Watch the lump. Do not touch everyday but once in 10-15 days. If the lump increases in size, becomes painful, changes color, bleeds, changes shape or consistency or more similar lumps appear then consult a doctor.
Alternatively you can get a CT scan of the lump to confirm the diagnosis.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Is it hard, or squishy? I had a cyst like that for 5 years. It wasn't anything major, I've had a few over the years on different parts of my body. I had it lanced and now its gone.

I had the same thing, mine was close to the ear lobe, I went to the doctor and was told,it was my lymph node, it's the bodies way of fighting off an infection, mine went away in a month or so,if I was u I'd have it checked. I pray every thing goes well for u.
