Hello,

Your symptoms are suggestive of ear infections which can lead to acute otitis media. Adult ear infection is caused by infection in the Eustachian tube, near the inner ear. The Eustachian tube connects the inner ear to the nasal passages in order to drain fluid from the ears and equalize pressure between outside and inside of the body, but when fluid or mucous builds up in the Eustachian tube, it is an easy target for infection.

Causes for excessive fluid build up may be cold due to upper respiratory infection or allergies, post nasal drip, bacterial or viral infections and meniere’s disease.

I feel that an evaluation by an ENT surgeon is necessary to confirm a diagnosis.Pls get it done as treatment is diagnosis specific so as to avoid any complications.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.
