morning nausea

I am not pregnant, but lately, even when i go to sleep very late, I wake up early in the morning because of stomach nausea. I have not vomited, but it is very uncomfortable and I cannot go back to sleep. It only goes away after I get up and move around for a while. I have no other symptoms or medical conditions besides this and am on no medications. What else besides pregnacy could cause morning sickness?

I had the morning nausea and my doctor put me on Pantaloc to help the acid in my stomach.  I had tried Nexium but didn't deal well with it.  The Pantaloc has been a godsend.

3 years of severe nausea in the am.  It is so bad it takes about 1-2 hours for my stomach to settle.  I have tried not eating after 6pm and it doesn't work.  I am happy to know I am not alone.  I also take nexium.  I just don't see no end in sight.  I find I never feel sick after eating in the daytime or evening.  I dread going to bed because I know I will wake up sick!!!!  (I'm on a restricted diet too of no gluton and that seems to help if I completely stay away from all gluton...Has anyone heard that post nasal drip can cause morning nausea....Good Luck to all and if you find a way to stop this morning nausea--please share it with me lol

I have acid reflux to the point of vomiting (I drive with a towel in my car).  Although this doesn't happen often, it concerns me. I also have nausea in the morning when I first wake up.  I also take nexium - had to take 2 today.  I am scheduled for a colon. and endo. I wish I had the answers - my gastro. doesn't seem too concerned. My endo. and colon. from previous years have been ok.  I am quickly learning that Dr.s don't have all the answers!

I had this problem also. Each morning when I woke up I fealt very nauseated, but never threw up but maybe once. I went to a gastrointerologist (sp) and was diagnosed with acid reflux. I started on Nexium and it helped greatly and I haven't had the problems since. Hope this helps and good luck. Hope you feel better.

Alcohol consumption can cause that. If you don't drink, I'd suggest seeing the dotor about it. That must be awful to wake up feeling sick every morning!
