muscle shakiness

ok so in the past two weeks i have recently started to have weird sensations in my muscles, its like they shake under stress or if i have been working out lots. say im lifting a weight, then my muscles will shake. or anything like that my legs to.

i have done chewing tobacco multiple times a week, which i am quitting and i recently tried marijuana which was stupid to do i know but it wont ever happen again.

but i was woundering if by doing any of those things could that be linked with my muscle shakiness and twitches in my arms/legs etc.?

or is it something else?

thanks for the response!

I know its not a problem with lifting weights as i have been working out but basically im just going to quit chewing and im hoping thats it. Going to wait it out for a few weeks and see if it goes away. If it does then i will know the cause and if it doesnt then i might go to a doctor for some tests to see whats up.

As long as its a problem that can be corrected easily im not to worried, its just annoying when your arms or hands will shake for no reason, or even my legs. Thats where it seems to happen most anyway.

I will for sure let you know how it goes, appreciate the help!

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
These could be withdrawal symptoms of tobacco or marijuana. It could also be due to unaccustomed weight lifting. Low blood sugar is another possibility.
I would suggest you get the blood levels of the following checked if they have not already been checked: potassium, calcium, sodium, vitamin B complex, or vitamins B1, B3, or B6 and Vitamin D. Generally deficiencies of any of the above can cause muscle twitching, shakiness and spasms in localized or generalized areas of the body. Get your kidney function, parathyroid gland function and adrenal function tests done because these affect the electrolyte balance in the body. Stress, alcohol, and fatigue all cause similar symptoms.
Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Hope this helps. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

I know that lifting weights can cause shakiness with muscle weakness.  I know when I go bowling, my arm can shake a lot time sometimes overnight.  Cut back on caffeine if you drink a lot of caffeine.  Make sure that you are getting enough vitamin B's in your diet.
