need answer PLEASE!

Hi, I am female 35 years old.
after I delivered my 3rd baby (he's now 19 months old) I use to feel suddenly like some changes in my head (can't explain it) it's not pain but like some light pressure or light head then feeling like I will faint (without fainting) this last a minute or little bit more or less and then leave me disturbed then everything back to normal, after few months it was getting better and almost disappeared but sometimes I feel low without reason, I thought it's matter of hormones with breast feeding.

Am still breast feeding and in August and September i had 2 days before receiving my menstrual period kind of low energy and sadness and feeling down and complete loss of appetite lasting 2 days then ok everything, I though am having PMS maybe !!

In October I received my menstrual period without any problem but this month November the day before my period i had whole night head ach (not strong) from uper side and took panadole but didn't go then in the morning I felt weak and thought it's the menstrual period time..

I went by car then felt light head and weakness and about fainting, lost my appetite the whole day then next day I was ok and had the appetite but during the night again very light head ach with nausea and complete loss of appetite again.

For 3 days i couldn't eat and meanwhile I was going to ER to get fluid through vains, I felt weak and nausea, when i went to ER they did for me several tests (theroid, CBC, EKG, liver enzymes, neuroglogical check up, BP, ..) everything came normal "thanks God".

I had all the time bad feelings because I didn't know how can I eat again, there was no way even to imagine this, I was feeling very anxcious and depressed sometimes shaking from nervousity and couldn't sleep, the whole event started 11 November and on the 15th after noon (when my menstrual period stopped) I started to eat a bit then in the evening I had better feelings and started to have apetite again.

In this few days I had to stop breast feeding coz i was very deppressed.

My question is what is going on? could it be hormonale imbalance due to breast feeding? mind you that my menstruation is very regular but always had my HDL low (35)!
or could it be any minerals or vitamines deffencies??

It can't be deppression cause once I get back my appetite it went my bad feelings!

please help if Uhave any idea!

Oh dear thanks for your sweet reply.
Actually till this morning feeling down and stressed didn't leave me even I thought am having depression because everything seemed to be boring to me and couldn't imagine what to do the next whole day! but didn't want to put this in mind!

However I ate better and started in the evening to have little bit more optimism, I just want to let it go because the incident freaks me out and put me very down!

As mentioned just last 3 months it started this events with menstruation but my period had already started like 10 months ago but didn't feel bad like I did lately.

My friend (nutrition expert) suggested to have check the magnesium and calcium and vit. B6 level also the progestrone and estrogen levels.. is that make sence?

thank you load for your reply, am happy for not hearing it's depression GO TAKE A PILLS !

Regards!

Hi

Thanks for the post! How are you doing now?

First of all do not panic. This kind of feeling and depression is due to hormonal changes that occur in mothers after delivery. Taking care of the baby, staying up at night, changed routine, lack of sleep etc contribute to this. With this once the periods start, the body goes another cycle of hormonal changes. While all new mothers do not face this, a good percentage of them do.

This is nothing to be ashamed of or worried about. Please consult your gynecologist. In those days even if you cannot eat, drink plenty of fluids. Do deep breathing exercises. You will be fine soon.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
