Hello,

I don’t know your gender, but if you are a female in the early 40’s then menopause can be related to it.Other causes can be capsaicin containing meals, some drugs , carcinoid syndrome, systemic mast cell disease, pheochromocytoma, medullary carcinoma of the thyroid, pancreatic islet-cell tumors, renal cell carcinoma, hyperthyroidism, neurological flushing and emotional flushing.

Keep a food diary for yourself and see if the hot flashes appear after eating certain foods. Also get your thyroid hormone levels evaluated.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Hello,

They sound like post menopausal hot flashes.Hot flashes at this age are common due to menopause.I would recommend an evaluation by a gynecologist and starting with hormone replacement therapy.

Hope it helps.Take care and regards.
