Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Whatever was causing the numbness has been overcome by the pain of injury. Numbness of the big toe can be due to pinched nerve, poor circulation, faulty foot wear, diabetic neuropathy, leprosy, nerve injury, multiple sclerosis and frost bite. This needs to be investigated before a final cause can be pin pointed.
The best thing would be to consult a general practitioner or PCP and try and assess what is the cause of your problem. Then proper referral for concerned specialist can take things further and get you proper treatment. Take care!
My question is why would your toe be numb? We know the nerves are working because it hurt when it was cut. Make sure it heals ok. If not let your Dr. know.
