osteomyelitis

by ddrim, Nov 19, 2007 11:08AM
My wife is in an acute rehab facility due to her C5 spinal cord injury she got from an accident on 9/15/07. While she was on life support she had developed a stage 4 pressure sore on her sacral area. The doctors recently cultured her scaral bone and found 4 seperate bacterias growing. Last week they started her on an IV antibiotic vancomycin which will be given every 8 hours for 8 weeks. Today I noticed her hands appear to have a yellow tint and her eyes look sucken. Does anyone have anything to share about this whole situation or concerns and questions I should know to ask or watch for. Thank you
