out of breath

i am a college athlete .... i cant even walk up a flight of stairs in my dorm with out brathing hard....i cant breath alot of time..my firends spent the night with me and woke me up multiple times with claims that i stopped breathing....whats wrong with me....hills make me out of breath ..why cant i breathe

Breathlessness can be due to several causes. The commonest cause is anemia. It can also be due to asthma like conditions, bronchitis, high blood pressure, diabetes, hypothyroidism or obesity. Certain heart conditions too can cause breathlessness. The best thing would be to consult a general practitioner or PCP and try and assess what is the cause of your problem. Then proper referral for concerned specialist can take things further and get you proper treatment.

i had a buddy like that,,he had an enlarges heart from some undiagnosed issue,and ended up kicking the bucket...get it checked out!!!
