pain betweent shoulder blades

My husband had prostate cancer last year.  PSA levels are good now.  He has been having horrible pain between his shoulder blades that won't let up.  I say go to the doctor, he said the PSA level tells if he has any other cancer anywhere in his body.  Really?  Also, he is an extremely heavy drinker.  I was thinking his esphagus could be eroding???  Any help is appreciated.  He hates going for a physical.

Has he been checked for gallstones,?
As gallstones pain goes in the back and shoulder blade.
So do heart problems.
Your husband needs to get this checked out, he might be clear of the cancer, but he can still get other things, as well.
It could be from numerous things but a doctor is needed in his case.

I am glad your husband is listening, to you, as he his a very lucky man to have such a caring wife, People just think once they have had cancer they cant get anything else, well they can get all the other symptoms and illnesses as anybody else,can
He should get checked out for this matter, as it could be numerous things going on, which only a doctor could do testing to find out.and give him the right treatment.
I hope your husband gets better, soon , so he can spend some good quality of life with a lady who cares about him

I am glad your husband is willing for a check. Pain between shoulder blades can be due to gall stones. It can also be due to pancreatitis in heavy drinkers. Duodenal ulcer in alcohol takers can also be a cause. At times heart attack too presents in a strange way with pain between shoulder blades. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
