I fell last June and broke two ribs.  They took x-rays and there was nothing they could do - just made sure I didn't puncture a lung.  Anyway, it took months for the pain to go away.  All they did was tell me to take NSAIDs.

Ribs take a long time to heal. I broke one of mine over a year ago and for about 6 months after I still felt tender if I moved in a certain way. It will most likely be your ribs aching but if you are still not sure.. get checked out by your doctor.

Yes you may have broken a rib and if you leave a broken rib untreated it could puncture your lung you should definatly go see a doctor best of luck

As you fell, you may have broken your ribs, or be severely bruised.

Make an appointment to see your doctor who may refer you to have an xray to make sure.  If you ribs are fractured, you will need to be careful and it will take a while for them to heal.  Bruising too can take a long time to heal.

See the doctor urgently to get the correct diagnosis.

Let me know how you get on.

Best wishes.
