phantom heat sensations in my foot

for the past few weeks the sole by my toes of my left foot feels a few seconds of heat. it feels almost like i am dipping my foot in hot water. it is not hot to touch though. and it is not subject to any sort of situation. it happens randomly about 6 times a day. what is this?

It could be related to neuropathy.  Are you a diabetic?  Either way, it can be caused due to nerves in your foot or leg causing you to feel this way.  You should see a doctor to make sure that it is not a more serious condition.
