Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
I would suggest you get the blood levels of the following checked if they have not already been checked: potassium, calcium, sodium, magnesium, vitamin B complex, or vitamins B1, B3, or B6 and Vitamin D. Generally deficiencies of any of the above can cause muscle twitching and spasms in localized or generalized areas of the body. Get your kidney function, parathyroid gland function and adrenal function tests done because these affect the electrolyte balance in the body. Stress, alcohol, caffeine and fatigue all cause similar symptoms. Certain sleep disorders and peripheral nerve disorders due to diabetes or hypothyroidism can also be the cause.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
The tingling is consistent with MS. Your doctor cannot know for sure if you have MS until you have had an MRI of the brain done. I would push for this test to be sure. MS is becoming very common now days.
hi, i know what you mean by feeling like you have been run over by bus! i also am affected by weather change! i have been on alot of different meds and only a few didnt give me side affects! i was taking lyrica and cipralex, and also had been on fluoxetine, these are only 1s that agreed with me, i have an eptopic heart beat so alot of meds give me very fast heart palpatations.
thanks for ur response, i have mentioned ms to my doc but she assured me its not ms, i had been taking lyrica and also cipralex, but hav come off all meds because i was hoping to hav another child, but i have been struggling a bit so gonna wait a while!
fybro makes your whole body at times feel like you have been ran over by a truck. are you on any meds. for the fibro? I know when the weather changes mine flares up.
Fibromyalgia can relate to these symptoms. Have you been checked for MS? You might also need a nerve study done on your arm and hand to make sure that they are not damaged. Are you on Lyrica?
