please help

Hi

i have been to my doctors this morning as i have  lump between my anus and vagina inside thats pressing out which has been growing for about a year, this is fairly smooth does not move and is not painfull, he has refereed me to a surgeon but wouldnt tell me anything. He avoided my questions just saying he wanted it looked at.

what type of surgeon could this be?

Thanks, he jut said he wanted it looked at by a surgeon and when I asked he justsaud a surgeon .. He didn't want to say anythin else

Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
It could be a general surgeon or a gynecologist if the doctor is suspecting a deep seated abscess or a herniainto the vaginal wall (rectocele). Otherwise if this is a tumor it could be someone specializing in cancer surgery. Please do not get worked up. Hope this helps. Take care!

Hard to say from your post if your personal physician referred you to a gyn surgeon or a colorectal surgeon.  My guess is a gyn associated with a cancer facility.

I'm an anal cancer survivor: have been treated by gyn and colon surgeons.  

But...hey...why the guessing?  Call the doctor and ask who you are being referred to.
