post surgery abdominal pains

i had an operation to clean out my abdominal cavity afte rmy appendix burst on feb 1st this year, and this last week i have had extreme pains coming from the area my appendix should have been, with a small but very hard lump that is on the inside, you cannot see it on the outside. when pressure is applied to the hard "bit" the pain causes me to collapse. people have suggested it may be a hernia, but there is no visible lump and the pain is getting worse every day, just today the pain has gone from bearable to leaving me just lieing in bed. please help!
