postcholesystecomy pain

I have been reading about the amount of people who are suffering right upper quadrant pain after lap choli. I am 2 years post op and have a constant pain under base of my right ribs. It began about 9 months post op. The surface is tender to touch, almost like bruising and the pain is constant. There are days when it is really sharp, with right sholder pain and vomiting. I have had an ultra sound and some LFT's checked. Also had injection for pain. I can handle the fact that I may never be right, but here's the problem. It gets exaserbated after taking alcohol: couple glasses of wine. Also after taking strong pain killers, like codine, or tramadol. Pain can drop me to the ground. My Dr is referring me to liver specialist, but I get the feeling he thinks I'm nuts. Anyone please shed some light? I need to know if I am doing damage by taking any alcohol.
