purple swollen face associated with cough and vomiting

What are the symptoms of a swollen purple  face with spots associated with a severe cough and vomiting?

Ask your Dr, but be sure it isn't being caused by an allergy.

YES MARYHEATHER IS RIGHT. I GET MIGRAINES 3-4 TIMES A WEEK. I GET THEM SO BAD I VOMIT. I HAVE NOTICED SEVERAL TIMES THAT I HAVE BUSTED VESSELS IN MY FACE. IT CAN BE PAINFUL AT LEAST FOR ME. SORRY I WASN'T MUCH HELP.

Oftentimes, when you vomit and strain, you will burst the tiny little blood vessels in your face.  Are they mostly around your mouth, eyes and forehead?  They can be all over, depending on how hard you threw-up, but I would bet that's what it is.  It happened to me when I was pregnant and had morning (all-day) sickness.  I walked around looking like a big purple balloon.
