Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
As a cheer leade do you apply anything on the arms and legs that you could be allergic to—any lotion, cream etc. If yes, then you could be allergic to this. Other possibilities are fragile spider veins and deep vein thrombosis of vessels in arms and legs. It can also be exposure to sunlight. If you are on birth control pills then this could be a cause. Like Caregiver said, this can cause a bleed anywhere. Please consult a doctor and see. Take care!

All nice and hopey-changy about the vitamins, but the first thing you need is to visit your friendly physician for some blood tests and an evaluation.

You need a ptt or equivelant to determine blood clotting.

The problem may be that your blood vessels are a bit fragile or that your blood is failing to clot.

The vitamin advice is all well-and-good, but there is a remote chance that this is a systemic problem. You wouldn't want a bleed to take place within your skull, for example, if you fell. For this reason, you need a trip to your physician before self-medicating.

There is a good chance this problem can be solved.

All the vitamins C, K, E, B12 and iron play a role in healing and defense against bruising. It is especially likely for women to notice the lack of these vitamins during mentruation/blood loss, as do active individuals who lose important minerals through sweat.
Try keeping up with a multi that has both vitamins and minerals in it, and take it with food to be better absorbed.
