Are you diabetic?  You should see a doctor to make sure that this is not a spider bite of some kind, or any other insect.  You should also have blood work done to make sure you do not have an infection because of it.  Hope you get better soon.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
If you have recently changed your shoes or started walking a lot, it could be a shoe bite. This could have got inflamed due to repeated injury or it could have got infected. The other possibility is an abscess. The third possibility is an infected cyst or hematoma. Clot in a deep vein can also be possible. It is difficult to comment without examination. Please consult your PCP.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Maybe your shoes are too tight or rub the area?
