Since last week Wednesday Ihave been suffering from a severe pain under the ribs in my right hand side especially at night and sometimes I cannot breath. I have been given pain killers and injected with volteran last Friday but I am still feeling the pain. Sometimes I am fine and it comes again episodically.

Plaese explain what might be the cause and what are consequences.

If the voltaren isn't helping maybe it is time to head into another doctor's office. Have you had a cardiology, or pulmonary workup done? Did you have to go to the ER? If this pain is still there, and it is really bad the ER doctors might be able to provide you with some relief. It is hard, but sometimes you have to be insistent and persistent to get the help you need. If you are having trouble breathing from this, I think that you should get immediate help and have them look into all options (not just inflammatory ones). I am not trying to scare you and I cannot give any advice other than what I am giving, but a good hospital, with a good team of doctors if you are suffering and having chest pain that is not going away with Voltaren in my opinion needs to be taking into consideration. Please rest and don't over exert yourself. Does anyone in your family have a history of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, or blood issues (like clotting or something)..you should write down an entire history or with questions and symptoms. When you get to the doctor then you will have it all there and you can just hand it to them. I hope you feel better soon and peace.
