thank you to everyone, it is weird you mention celiac because I do have that so I already eat gluten free. I also already have had a biopsy for H pylori and it was negative. I also had a pelvic ultrasound so I don't think it could be polycystic ovary disease. The doctor is putting me on a low dose birth control to try to regulate my cycle, might this help?
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
You could be suffering from an inflammatory bowel condition such as Celiac Disease/Ulcerative Colitis/Irritable Bowel Syndrome/ Crohn’s disease. Other than that it could be due to H pylori infection. It can also be food intolerance. Diabetes can cause slowing of gut and can cause bloating and hence get your blood sugar tested. It can also be due to excess consumption of food rich in sulfites like juices, molasses, yellow dye in ready made food stuffs, and red wine. Sulfites are present in lesser amounts in mashed potatoes made from dry powder, pickles, tinned shrimp, cookies, crackers, and readymade pie dough. Constipation can also cause bloating. Very sedentary lifestyle is another cause. You could also be having polycystic disease of the ovary. Again this causes abdominal bloatedness. Please consult a gynecologist regarding this. Some women benefit by hormone replacement therapy.
Do discuss with your doctor and get this examined. You may need to consult a gastroenterologist too.
Hope this helps. Take care!
Have you had problems going to the bathroom could be due to constipation or excessive gas. Just a thought hope this helps
Hi Roxy12341 - I have the same problem - i found that it only happens when I eat certain food i.e. bread, maize etc. ... not even cabbage has this effect on me ... a few years back i did an allergy test due to my sinus problem and the result showed that I am allergic to certain things, not just allergic to certain things in the air but also things I eat ... I have not consulted a doctor regarding my bloating yet, I am assuming that my allergies are causing my problem. Setteling? I have no answer but please tell me when you have your answer I would like to know?
Good luck
Try gluten free for awhile.
Unsure of your age but hormones could be part of it. Especially with the late day/night bloating and hard belly. Where there's pain you really should see a gynocologist. And keep seeing people until you get answers. Best of luck.
