shaking after eating

A couple days ago I went to a restaurant where I had a high-carb meal. I had a diet coke with it and started to feel really jittery. My legs, arms and hands were shaking but I thought that maybe it was from the caffeine in the soda. The next day I went for a long run and came back and everything I drank tasted creamy. That night I had another high calorie dinner but this time I had a water. I still had the symptoms but this time it was even worse. My pulse at the time was really low. What could be the problem?
