sharp poking in brain

During the last week about once a day and about 4 of 7 days I have a couple of minutes of sharp poking in the right side of my brain. It just hurts for a couple of seconds and then comes back a minute later and then leaves?

Headaches are the most frequently reported symptom of aspartame.  If you consume aspartame (Nutraweet), try eliminating it from your diet.

This is one of the symptoms I had... it would start and then end an instant later... but be excruciating while it lasted!  I also noticed that if I eat a lot of salty foods, it will bring on a migraine, as the previous poster suggested.
