I'am a 34 year old female in good health who has been suffering for 4-6 weeks now with severe shooting pain in my right arm bicept radiating down the arm to the hand with some numbness of the hand and mid two fingers, moving my head to the right ,turning my hand parm side up, lifting my arm up while bent at the elbow ,place my head right back to look up ,and when not sitting up right some tinggerling and numbness below the elbow . I have lost some strenth in the arm and find that it is impossible to place my left arm behind my back or draw my shoulders back also.
The pain is so intense I am having difficulty moving my arm all together. It has now gotten to the point that it is difficult to sleep for the pain. Before, it hurt only when I moved in certain ways, but now it hurts most the time. The pain is most intense at the upper part of my upper arm, just a few inches above the elbow. It feels like the muscle is actually pulling from the bone. When I reach for something, or move in a certain way, the pain shoots down my arm and then begins to wane off. Yet, I am now left with slightly less intense pain the remainder of the time still with numbness of the fingers and parm.
xrays ,scan of shoulder and neck, spine, head, also EMG plus three MRI's of the neck too spine to see if there is a pinched nerve or disk out of place. All are OK. When the PCP did a reflex test on my arms at the inner part at the elbow, the right arm did jump, but my left one did not move.
i have seen a neurologist to see if there is any nerve damage but all tests to date have been clear and perfect. I do not recall having an injury of any type
