side muscle and back pain all the time

by sadjen01, Dec 09, 2006 12:00AM
I had an injury about 2 years ago. It was primarily located in my mid-back region. The first day I felt burning and pain. Now it has been two years. A large muscl knot has developed in my front side. I've had a CT scan for cancer, seen a couple doctors and a chiropractor. The chiropractor said one of my vertebres is out of alignment causing th muscle knot and chronic pain. I've spent over $1,000.- with him and it is not fixed. I'm thinking of going to another chiropractor but I don't have the money to. I feel pain in my front right side and back everyday. I find it hard to exercise, work and sit for long periods of time. The only comfort I get is when I lay down and do nothing. I am only 32 years old and don't want to have pain like this the rest of my life. I feel like I've lost my youth with this injury and don't know how to feel better again. Is surgery a possiblity? or could this be a complete chiropractic problem? will the muscle knot go away? I feel tired and sick from the pain everyday. It's affected my personal and work life.

I to am suffering from chronic back pain. My pain is under my right rib and radiates around to the spine. This started November 2006 and I still have no diagnosis. Ive had my gallbladder checked. Ive had  polups removed from my stomach. Ive had a cyst removed from the top of my kidney. I went to a spine clinic. They found Degenerative disc problem in my lower pack and arthritis. Ive had epidurals 2 rounds 2 vertabre. I take meds everyday and just to take the pain from a 8,9 to a 5,6. I drove 4 hrs to a nother clinic Wednesday and they put me on lyerica and said they might put in a electronic pulse catheder to fool the pain sensory. Ive had an MRI showed nothing abnormal. I cant live this way any longer. Im getting depressed and feeling like I will never get help. I pray we can all get some resolution. If anyone can direct us. Please Help.

I understand how you feel.  I have just about had it.  I have constant mid back pain that goes around to the front.  I've just had my gall bladder checked.  They put me on pepsid two months ago with no improvment.  Top that off with already having low back problems and a doctor from Kaiser who will only give me a script for two pain pills a day and has no real interest in finding out what the problem is.  I am going to have to file bankruptcy from all the missed work in the last year.  It just seems hopeless.  I have tried changing Doctor's but it seems that any that come recommeded have no openings.  I have an appt on next tues.  I am taking a list with me and am asking my primary how to file a complaint against her.  This has been going on over a year and she has not even done an x-ray.  My gallbladder was only checked because I went to emergency with abdominal pain.  I think that is just pain radiating from my back.  Now I am having pain and swelling in my wrist's and hands.
