Regarding my discomfort below the breastplate.
Unfortunately, I have no way to get this condition checked out in my current situation.
I have felt discomfort when placing direct pressure on that area for at least a year.
Only recently has the discomfort become frequent / without direct pressure. Also, I have recently developed indigestion and acid reflux.
I have only recently been noticing the presense of indigestion and acid reflux. I've also noticed that I need to sleep with my head elevated in order to avoid acid reflux while sleeping, especially when I have eaten recently.
I am assuming that it is a hiatal hernia and was planning on trying to treat it with Prilosec or Omeprazole - generic.
I want to find a resolution to this issue, but there is no one I can go to currently or in the near future. And if it is a hiatal hernia, I would very much like to begin treating it. Do these symptoms provide any further insight? At what point do conditions like this require attention? And at what point do they require emergency attention?
Any further advice, etc on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
Hello,
First of all, bruises have to be ruled out. Anemia and deficiency of vitamins C, K, B12, or folic acid are the common causes of easy bruisability.Try taking iron tablets and multivitamins for some days and see if the symptoms improve. Then this under ribs tenderness also needs evaluation.Various Gi pathologies need to be probed.
I would suggest that you get yourself evaluated by a physician and look out for GI disorders,SLE, bone marrow disorders, liver diseases or leukemias Anti-clotting (anti-coagulants) medication also can cause increased bruising.
I hope that helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted.
neither of the brown clusters itch, burn, or feel irritated, the one on my chest kind of looks like a bruise in the right light, i see purplish color under the skin, like a fading bruise
the discomfort at the base of my breastbone is not a new condition. that has been ongoing for at least a year. it's not severe pain, it's just uncomfortable to the touch. i assume it is a mild hernia.
