soreness of muscle in leg - 7 months undiagnosed

by katmshannon, Nov 04, 2006 12:00AM
I have been experiencing pain in my leg, upper back side, for about 7 months, steadily getting worse and worse.  I had an Ultrasound, they said "significant inflamation (inflammation) of the muscle"  no other explanation... anyone have any suggestions?  I was initially told it was a tear, but the Ultrasound did not show a tear.... Help?
thank you

I you have inflammation in a muscle then you should have been put on meds. Talk to your doctor about it.

Thank you for your reply, The dr did put me on muscle relaxant and antiinflamatory, I took them for a week, with no relief, and they (probably the relaxant) made me so tired and useless, I didn't take them after the first week.  I am going back to the dr in a couple of weeks, but I wondered if anyone had any ideas about what it might be.  What types of things cause that.
Thanks

If you have inflamation (inflammation) it can take more then one round of pills for it to go away. I had a problem with my back and had to take several rounds of meds before I got rid of it.

but the dr said to try it for a week... anyway, what was causing the inflamation (inflammation)?

You can get inflamation (inflammation) from reapiting a movement. I have one at the moment in my elbow. I think I got it from usin my computer to much. hehe...
