spontaneous little white bumps on tongue.

about three to four weeks ago i noticed a tiny white bump near the tip of my tongue. It almost looked like a pimple. i picked at it until it "popped." then the next day, more appeared. and now one has appeared on the top of my tongue. they are irritating, and when touched, they hurt a little. I don't know what to do, because i have no health insurance or money for health insurance. I've looked through a million pages but i just want to figure out what it is :(

When I was a kid, I got like a hundred 'white bumps' down my throat and all over my tongue. They're canker sores. Now I occasionally get them on my tongue, two or three at a time.
That might be what you have. It could've caused them to spread when you popped it.

the tongue is lined with what we call the papillae which is found on all normal tongues, these are bumbs. the tiny white bumb you notice might be the papillae or different thing all together. the irritations and pains you noticed, might be due to your previous attempt to 'pop' the bumb. So, you might have to see your doctor for further examination.
