stomach problems?

I'm sick and no one believes me cause my symptoms are sweating, weakness, bad taste in mouth and stomach irritation and newly diagnoses guttate psoriasis.  I never feel good anymore but my blood tests are fine.  My body is attacking itself.  I feel better and then whammo - start feeling really bad again.  Think it might be something with my immune system cause of the psoriasis but I'm starting to think it must be my stomach.  Had bariatric surgery 12 yrs ago.  Oh yes, my hair is rapidly falling out.  Thank you for letting me post this.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
What you have could be Dumping Syndrome or rapid gastric emptying following gastric bypass surgery. This can result in feeling weak and nutritional deficiencies as food is not absorbed. This is treated by taking small frequent meals, drinking fluids in between meals, taking more of proteins and less of carbohydrates and simple sugars (total no). Generally this is due to increased secretion of insulin from the pancreas. This can be overcome by increasing fiber in diet. Along with reduced insulin secretion this delays gastric emptying. Drugs like octreotide, cholestyramine or proton pump inhibitors such as lansprazole help slow down digestion. At times surgery is required where Roux-en Y gastrojejunostomy is done.  Please discuss this with the surgeon who performed the bypass and get this treated. Hope this helps. Take care!
