sweare headache

3 years back, my mother had an accident.. Although, she was fine after the accident, she started to have a sweare headache on one spot of her head.- top middle part of the head. She feels that area as hot and sweaty. She had all her tests done after that and everyt hing comes as normal. As she is living in India, where it gets too humid some times, when she gets out of the house, sometimes, she evfen has to put a wet towel on her head to avoid sweating and heat. She is taking pain killers efveryday and has been to so many doctors over there but nothing could really help her. Please advice.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Was a MRI of upper cervical spine done? It could be nerve compression there. It can also be due to seborrhagic dermatitis. Endocrine gland related conditions like hyperthyroidism, acromegaly and glucose control disorders (diabetes and hypoglycemia both) all result in increased sweating. Pheochromocytoma, cancers, carcinoid syndromes, tuberculosis and other infections too can cause increased sweating. It can also be due to low blood pressure. Ask her to get thyroid and adrenal gland function tested.
Hope these tips help. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
