swollen left foot and ankle
it seems this is a very popular problem this year. the swelling started w/ both ring toes. then it went away and my hands became swollen. both of them from wrists to finger tips.tha went away for the most part. it still happens a bit every now and again. and these swellings lasted about 6-8wks. each. well it then went to both feet from mid calf to the tips of my toes. the light side has mellowed and swells slightly and not daily. now the left ankle to tips of toes is constant. although at times that sucker swells up so big i think its gonna blow. of coarse it hasnt. when im standing to put make up on it gets xtra big. also when i sit, or squat down. it doesnt go down when i put them up at night while i sleep. i lost weight and im not overweight at all. im in great shape,quit drinking and smoke a pack a week. when i was BIG and drank everyday and smoked a pk. day and ate like crap i didnt have these problems. whats going on with that/me? ive ran in to several people of various ages who are having the same thing. but................. theirs went away. CAN ANYONE HELP ME? Thank you in advance .;
don't worry it is related with the other symptoms, when they will regress, follicles will go back to normal, it's not irreversible.

Your slight loss of vision goes along with the rest of the symptoms and positivity to the Romberg's test. If all goes well you should regain your "old" vision along with negativity to the Romberg. it all goes along with the rest of the symptoms peripheral Neuropathy etc.

The Neurologist at the local Uni had talked about some chronic infection, I don't think he was on this. he had me do MRI I still haven't seen him again. I seem to be healing spontaneously.

i just had eye exam 5.24.12 doc says the eyeballs [the entire thing] is as it should be. but 40 seems to be the age when vision starts to change, as far as reading, up close etc... so thats where the bi focals come in. he says its pretty common. no problem! I had a similar problem, it started with a weird week-long headache in the last week of November and a bit of diarrhea. No symptoms of flu whatsoever it was the last thing on my mind I thought of food intoxication. it triggered neuropathy, partial paralysis, it's still going on.
You should at least have your eyes checked to confirm the suspect of Oftalmoplegia that goes along with Romberg's test positivity. Like I said it should regress spontaneously but it could take a long time. Not sure but I can't rule out the possibility that if not treated it could progress and leave permanent neural lesions.

im sure that i had nothing. never had broc,pneom,asthma,. well, whatever it is or isnt, i hope it stopes b4 i lose all my hair. thanks for taking the time and share your thoughts. i appreciate it.
are you sure you didn't have any running nose, sort of cold/allergy symptom, mild bronchitis, sinusitis.
it's not normal to have a bit of wobble with Romberg's test.

there is no therapy except for Plasmapherensis. like I said it should regress spontaneously. in some cases the acute phase can hit the heart too bad, lower the heart beat rate and respiration. if the bpm goes below 60 you need o start worrying.

If your sight has decreased a bit or vision is a bit blurry try to do this test, it's called Romberg test: stand up straight with your feet joined together perfectly, toe to toe, lean your arms forward then close your eyes, if you can't stand still you're positive. look up "Romberg test" on Youtube please maybe I couldn't explain myself well enough.

i had a bad headache. besides that i was fine thenthe swelling began. first phase;ring toe on each toe. looked exactly like "sausage toe" 2nd phase was both hands. along with the swelling they would sudenly turn way red. at night they were worse. when i was up mand active then they would go down. then i began to lose my hair. approx what i would lose in 3 days, im losing every day. up to present w/ that. phase 3 the feet. im 45 and in fab shape.! .... i think it was aug. or sept. when i quit drinking. that was not intentional, but i saw how fast i was losing weight after 2-3wks. so i just kept going w/ it. my fingernails dont grow to fast anymore either. and i foun out i neede bi-focals. maybe im just fixin to hit menapause or something. i used to get migrains a while back but not serious for about 5-6yrs

it started believe it or not,on Thanksgiving day.i think it was the day before that i took 2 aleve. i had taken thnem in the past, and had no problem. ive never had this problem before and yas it was sudden. i have no pain, but lately my left shoulder to fingers, and hip toknee cap will get a weird tingly feeling. feels like its running up and down the bone. weird. i think thats a pinched nerve ???!!!!
