swollen neck

Hello, For the last 2 months ive noticed my symptoms worsening. My neck (possibly glands?) is swollen up into my ears. Ears go from itching to hurting constantly. Head and neck aches, General fatigue and achy joints. My eyes hurt and seem sluggish. And sometimes get short of breath.
Went to doctor and tthinks it might be allergies, but ive never suffered from allergy symptoms, so any thoughts would be great. Could it be thyroid?

If the lymph nodes that trouble you are mainly in the head and neck area then problems like sinusitis, pyorrhea, dental caries, and dandruff in your head could be the problem.
Have you checked your temperature? You could also be having glandular fever. Allergic reaction is a possibility you cannot rule out.
