swollen vagina

i have read a couple of the questions in regards to this topic and it is interesting to read some responses, but i get swollen as well.  It only happens to me when i am on an antibiotic.  but i learned about 4 years ago that i am allergic to semen and now i wonder is it semen, latex condoms, antibiotics or what.  i went to the er last time because i was so swollen i could not walk and the itching and burning was intense. if there are any people truly educated on this or who have had this problem and actually been diagnosed please let me know, because i feel as though i get the run around from doctors at time who write it off as yeast.

i am the same ,started the same after anti bs and treated for thrush . but now get it all the time and now pain during and after intercorse and i have had no joy with gp . i posted thyroid dysfunction a few days ago with this similar prob .my respose was there is a meical condition so have looked up and found- dyspareunia . have a google see what you think !!! good luck

Hi hope both of you can get to talk to women doctor about this.  I am not sure if this can help, but OPRAH yes Oprah usually has these two women doctors on her show who talk about female sexuality and help women with real problems.  I beleive they take people from everywhere.  Many women went to these two doctors who are a team and the best being female and know what women go thru. They have helped many women who were told otherwise by their doctors that nothing is wrong or it is all in their head.  Maybe you can email the Oprah show and see if someone can get back to you with their names.  I blieve they have a website.Glad to see you found what I was talking about.  Good luck to both of you
