three month's is long enough

It started off as a rash like patch on both my nipples.  I was constantly itching without result...it was a deep itch.  then after two months I went to the clinic...it was after hours so the only thing that the clinic could do was refer me for a mamogram.  The term Pagent's Disease of the nipple came up and I looked it up.  I have seen pictures that resemble my strange nipple condition.  the uneven patch around the nipple that is thickenend like dimpling but in a solid uneven circular patch around the nipple.  Of course I was worried.  Last stage for the disease is very horrific and the pictures show the most painful looking disease run rampant.

Well I took my mamogram and sonogram and the results were fine; nothing.  Seriously. Nothing?  I was so relieved I did not have a lump or whathaveyou...but also so devastated that my nipples that had been tormenting me for two months...were fine.  I itched my way home that day..almost in tears.

I went to the doctor today.  She took blood; and told me to use moisturizing cream.  I told her I was using moisturizing cream the first time I visited.  But nothing had improved.  She told me that it may never improve.  She told me the mamogram convinced her I was fine.  She told me that I could take claritin for the itch.  People, it is NOT that I want a disease.  But it is all about feeling like something is wrong..telling a doctor ...and then being told 'hey, it may never get better.'  All the tests say nothing is wrong...so see the cashier on the way out, have a great day....REALLY?

I feel wronged.  I feel like I am hallucinating; or an hypochondriac... or I have something that might just be easily cured...but no one bothers unless it is a life threatening disease. (our sensors are set on devestation...anything less is not our department)

attached is a picture of just such a uneven circle...mine is larger and is on both nipples

I had this problem in 1994.I have silk skin they call it.What helped me is to stress free and use unscented laundry deterg. Also go buy:Cetaphil Moisturing Cream For dry,Sensitive skin.16oz.It comes in a tub and can be purchased at any store.Only this helped me and wear loose fitting clothing to bed.i wore cotton t-shirts.It went away in a week.I know it can be very itchy and annoying. But the scratch cause a scar.Think of it that way.So i did not scar. But this worked for me.Only this.Hope this helps you.I will pray for your speedy recovery.

Geez....your physician sounds like she could really care less.

Ok, the mammogram was ok, however, I would recommend having this biopsied.  In fact, I would recommend requesting a referral to a Dermatologist and getting this biopsy done by the Derm.

I am not exactly sure what you are dealing with.  It looks like something Eczema-like and Paget's can present just like Eczema.  The biopsy will determine exactly what this is.

Did the doctor even mention checking for inflammatory breast cancer?  Apparently some docs are unaware of it, so you need to see a doc who knows about it.  Call a breast specialist, perhaps.
