Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Whether surgery will help or not will depend on the vocal cord disorder. Some times fat or collagen insertion to strengthen the cords helps. Voice can crack even in adrenal gland problems and low thyroid hormones. So get this checked. Also tumors of voice box can cause this problem and will need extensive surgery.
Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
