Welcome to the forum!
A feeling of tightening under the jaw can be due to deficiency of calcium, or due to hypoparathyroidism. It can also be due to gastric reflux. At times acid from the stomach comes and hits the throat, this causes a reflex tightening of the muscle. Please discuss this with your PCP and get serum calcium levels checked. Also get the parathyroid gland function assessed.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
