Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Yes, celexa can increase tinnitus by causing auditory hallucinations and stuffy nose and ears. Hence please discuss with your doctor regarding this.
Since you had tinnitus before you started this drug, other causes should also be looked into. Besides loud noises, other causes include severe head trauma, sinus and respiratory infections, ear infections, wax build-up, high blood cholesterol, food allergies, and certain types of tumors.
Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Try and consult an ENT specialist. Take care!
jesus. i have said this to so many people thank you so much. they think just because i can hear noise that i have nothing in my ear. its in my right ear. what should i tell the ent tomorrow. thank you too i am thankful for an answer. they think its in my head but i know its something else like everything keeps echoing. and i thnk i have a sinus problem.
this is due to the accumulation of some foreign substances in your ear canal. see if u had it after a severe cold, if it did it may be due to the accumulation of cough in your ear canal. it subsides soon in this case.
this generation is very much addicted to headphones and that too with extra bass so if u use such accessories regularly stop using it till your problem gets overcome because wen sound enter your ear canal it doesnot get the way to be deflected . hope my tips work for you.
