My wife gets extremely painful toe cramps for no apparent reason and at very irregular times. This can happen while in bed, walking with sneakers on, standing at the sink getting ready for work, and many other situations. She wear high heels probably four days a week, but these attacks can be months or days apart. The only remedy has been walking them out or soaking in hot water while enduring the extreme pain.
She eats a very balanced diet with pleanty of vegetables and little or no meat products.
