um..... Zoning out?

Ok so I get migrains alot and I have OCD and insomnia but thats not really the point. My question is I have this tendency to zone out alot. I don't mean the kind of zoning out where you day dream about this and that. It happens alot when I'm at school or in really crouded places. It usually only happens when im sitting down or just standing around. SOOO what happens is I stare at a piece of ground or the back of someones head or a notebook or a tree or a pencil or what have you and i can just stare at it for hours on end i dont tend to imagine things like a day dream i just stare. Usually if I'm with a friend(s) i can carry on a conversation while staring at something or still listen and gather all the information being thrown at me. I still am very aware of my surroundings. When I start to stare off after a while i feel like i dont want to leave the fog that I'm in. Some how its very comforting to not have to deal with everything around me. I know that part is normal but I do it all the time. I got introuble at school one time because i was staring at my desk and the teacher thought i was asleep i couldn't bring my self to look at her though. i just continued to stare. anyways this has been really long if anyones got ideas or questions please reply. thankyou.

Hmmmmm I recall doing this a LOT as a child. It was weird, almost as if I was being pulled into a daydream trance and I would have to fight so hard to get out of it and make myself pay attention to what I should be.

Insomnia, yea I've had it off and on all my life, but I think that goes with the highs and lows of bipolar2 disorder.

Do you by any chance have difficulty looking people in the eyes when youre having conversations?

Anyway, I think this is all in relation to what you mentioned firstly. Insomia.

Not getting enough sleep can seriously cause you to just zone out. Have you not visited a Dr about this? They're much more useful than random people on the internet, plus you might get meds for your sleeping disorder.

It might also be possible that you might have a slight case of ADHD.

Do get yourself checked up hun, people will find you freaky just staring at things haha! x

I know personally that this is a great place and it's all about people helping people, but because of every day life, sometimes with so many posts,
it is possible you might need to repost. If this is something that needs attention now, you can call for an appointment with your doctor, if it is not
an emergency go to urgent care (to save money) but if it is an emergency, please go to the ER. If this is something you are having anxiety over,
I have some basic but strong tips/techniques to use until you get help, please just message me and I will send them to you. Thank you and I
hope you are helped soon.
